Crisis at Christmas
In December I set out to create a project that relied on one puppet to tell a compelling story in one minute. After 250+ photos, hours of puppeteering, sculpting, painting, rigging, editing, mixing and colour grading, my animation for the 'Crisis at Christmas' initiative was complete. This mock-up advert for Crisis aimed to shine a light on the hardships faced by the homeless during the winter months. Christmas is for many, a time of togetherness, a time for giving. But for some, the conditions that come during this period can often be fatal. This animation was created with the intent to highlight how the things that many of us take for granted, are the very same things that could save a homeless individual from life-threatening circumstances. It was an educational experience to work on this project as a one-man-band, from designing my first armature rig, to script writing and acting direction.
